It’s TMC Featured Blogger day, and the featured blog is, you guessed it, Wonder, Friend (that’s this blog, in case you’re confused). Wahoo! If you’re stopping by from Theta Mom, thank you for taking the time to visit.
I am still surprised by Heather’s generous offer to feature my blog. Me? Really? When she asked, very politely, if I would be interested, I immediately responded with, “Do you even need to ask? You tell me what day and I am there.” Thank you, Heather, for the opportunity!
(If you don’t have any idea what I’m talking about because you accidentally found Wonder, Friend through a Google search for bikini wax or knife wound or poop, I thank you for being here, too, though I do question your choice of search terms. Hop on over to Theta Mom’s site, find out what the big deal is, and then come back to spend hours reading Wonder, Friend. Thanks!)
For the new people here, I invite you to grab a cup of coffee and spend some time looking around. I acknowledge that you may not have time to read every post, what with real life going on all around you. I’m the mom of a preschooler and a toddler, a wife, a writer, a sister, a daughter, a friend and more, so I know what it’s like to be short on time and long on to-do lists.
Since that’s the case, here are a few good places to start your education of all things Wonder, Friend:
:: Today’s post on Theta Mom gives a brief synopsis of Wonder, Friend, including why I write and what I write.
:: Check out the Wonder Who I Am? page for background information and links to some get-to-know-you posts.
:: I have a weekly feature, called Wonder Why Wednesday. You can visit the WWW archives and check out the first WWW post for a bit more information.
:: This post earned me a place in the Nerd Mafia. It also explains how I found myself standing in a room full of pre-K kids who expect me to teach them Sunday School.
:: TV may rot my brain, but I have a thing for it anyway. My love is apparent in this post about what I want to be when I grow up.
:: Every once in a while I participate in a writing exercise with The Red Dress Club.
:: If you wonder why I don’t have a blogroll, this post offers an explanation.
Like most bloggers, I love comments, email, and getting to know you through places like Twitter, Facebook, and Stumble Upon. I would be honored to have you subscribe to my feed, subscribe to my email newsletters, “like” or follow me. You can connect by using those shiny, square buttons near the top, right-hand corner of this page, or you can use the handy links provided earlier in this paragraph.
Thanks again for visiting and looking around today!

So glad to feature you! I have gotten to know you better, especially through Twitter! Enjoy your day chickie! Hope you meet some new peeps in addition to those lovely Google searches. 🙂
@Theta Mom, Thanks so much for featuring me today!! The alarm went off this morning and for a split second I wanted to hit the snooze button, but then I remembered: it’s TMC day. Wahoo!
And yes, I love Twitter… maybe a bit to much? Nah. 😉
Thanks again, Heather! Have a great Friday.
WOOT! I love that we were back to back Fridays! And now I really can’t wait to hang with you at Blissdom!!
@liz, When I saw you were the FB last week, I had to ramp up the self control big time. I really wanted to blurt out my secret!! I’m extremely proud of myself for not telling. 😉
Blissdom reg. finally opens next week, doesn’t it?!
Congratulations on being the featured blogger on TMC! I look forward to Fridays to see who it will be. I’m off to read more of you now. Enjoy the spotlight! 🙂
@Cyrene, Thanks so much for visiting! I agree – I always look forward to finding out who the FB is. 🙂

Thanks, Kerry!! I appreciate the kind words.
And yes, you know I’m a Twitter addict so we definitely need to chat more! 🙂
I shudder to imagine who goes around googling “poop” though I am sure they exist. LOL.
Congrats on your feature! And thanks for visiting my blog.
@Florida Girl Meets the Midwest, Thanks so much!
And here’s the worst search string that ever led someone to my blog: “husband poops pants.” Aaaack. Gag. It got them to that post I linked to today and I have a feeling they were pretty disappointed. Ha.
aw, congrats on your TMC highlight!
@Nobody, Thank you!

HI! Happy TMC day! What a cute blog. I hope you’re having a great time.
@Cheryl D., It has been a fun day! Thanks for stopping by. 🙂
Yay! A bloggy friend with a TMC feature day!!! I am so excited for you!
And don’t worry, if someone Googles poop you know my blog is listed right under yours…
Enjoy your day!!!
@Jean@MommyToTwoBoys, Thank you!!
Hope you’ve had a good week. How are the boys?
@Wonderfriend, We’re good! But busy! I thought that once school started and we got back into some sort of routine things would settle, but they haven’t!!! In fact, I feel more stressed and out of whack then I did in the summer! How about you guys?
@Jean@MommyToTwoBoys, All is well, but I do relate to what you’re saying! I deluded myself into thinking the routine would solve everything. I feel like we do a lot of running from one thing to the next… All in all, though, things are good. 🙂
Congrats on your TMC feature! When I read about your blog on Theta Mom, I immediately felt a connection. We have similar blogging philosophies. Looking forward to getting to know you and your blog more!
@Micheline, I’m looking forward to visiting your blog, too! Thanks so much for stopping by. 🙂
OMG! I was off Twitter all morning and didn’t see anything about this, and I just got your post in my inbox just this very minute!
you’re a good secret keeper! congratulations! I’m going to go tweet this now!!!
@gigi, Can you believe what a good secret keeper I am? Because I cannot believe I didn’t blurt out something about this. It’s a miracle!
Thanks for tweeting. 🙂
Wanted to stop by and tell you congratulations on being the TMC featured blogger! No internet service for an entire weekend sounds so peaceful.
Have a great weekend!
@L. Eleana, Thanks so much!
I don’t know what I’ll do without the internet, but I’m sure it will be good for me to unplug! 😉
Yay!!! Congrats!!!! What a great way to start off the weekend.
@MamaOnDaGo, Thank you! It was a good day. 🙂
Enjoy your weekend!

You go , girl,look how far wondering has got you! FB on ThetaMom..
uh huh, what dreams are made of.
Enjoy your day and I hope others can see what us regular followers see: that you are very sweet and lovable and so very followable.
Congrats!
@Alexandra, I’m going to frame this comment for when the kids call me the meanest mommy ever. I can point to it and say: See? I’m sweet and lovable!!
Thank you – this made my day! 🙂
YAY! How exciting! I’m so happy for you – you deserve this very special day!
@Cheryl @ Mommypants, Thank you, Cheryl!
Congrats on your special day!!! Love ThetaMom! ;0) Snooped around your blog a bit — love your style and the premise of your blog!
@Melinda, So glad you snooped! Thanks for stopping by!
By “women’s retreat” do you mean that it’s that time of month and you’ve gone into the mountains, like Jack D.’s girlfriend on 30 Rock? No? Okay, just wondering.
Congrats on being featured blog on Theta Mom – saw the post in my inbox (note to self, must read)! Very exciting and well-deserved. And this was a great post for getting to know your blog better too. Love the monthly blogroll post concept – brilliant! I am currently in the blogroll conundrum too…what to do, what to do…
@The Flying Chalupa, Ha. Hiding out in the mountains sounds preferable to some of my weekend. 😉 It was good to be away, all the same!
The blogroll thing is such a challenge. I’m glad you like the blogroll schmogroll concept. I think I may do a linky this month so other people can do their own. Several people have mentioned they like the idea. We’ll see if it takes!
Congratulations on being the featured TMC blogger! Don’t know how I missed it on Friday. You deserve it and hope you had a wonderful Friday and weekend!!
@Melissa (Confessions of a Dr.Mom), Thanks, Melissa!!
Congrats on your TMC feature!!! I too LOVE twitter!!
@Rachel {at} Mommy Needs a Vacation, It really is an addiction. I’m trying to curb it a bit… But I just love it too much. 😉
