Happy Independence Day to you! And if you are not in the US, happy regular day to you!

I’m not doing anything extravagant this Fourth of July weekend. No holiday trip for us this year, and thanks to the drought we’ll have to watch some other city’s fireworks on television. It’s going to be a low-key weekend at home, hanging out with the world’s greatest neighbors. {That’s right. I’m sure your neighbors are lovely, and maybe even the best in your state – or country – but ours are the World’s greatest.}

Even though I’m not trotting the globe, I will be on a very brief blog vacation. If you’re looking for me between now and Tuesday, you’re going to have to look somewhere in real life. I take that back. I do plan to spend some time reading your blogs, so you might see me there. Just not here. Whatever… You get the point.

I’ll be back next week with these amazing posts:

:: Tips on where not to go for your summer vacation;

:: A sure-fire way to send your spouse to the funny farm;

:: And more.

Yep, more. Of something yet to be exactly determined.

I wonder…

:: What are you doing this Fourth of July?

:: If you’re not in the US, we still care about your weekend plans. What are you up to this weekend?

:: If you’re in Austin, how are you getting your firework-fix this year? Will you miss the fireworks?
