I don’t do crosswords, but I used to love Spider Solitaire. Something about ordering the cards made my chaotic mind feel more calm. That and puzzles, I have been really enjoying puzzles with my girls. I have to get two started at one time, so I don’t do their’s for them. 100 piece puzzles are my favorite for now, nice and easy, a contrast to day job + Mom + Home and all that.

Again, my darn penis is keeping me from running with you.

I love crosswords, but I’ve never, ever used a crossword dictionary. In fact, I can’t say that I know such things even existed. in past jobs, when I had a little more spare time, I would do countless online crosswords – always working my way up to The Times. Though it’s rare that I’m able to complete a Times crossword puzzle beyond Wednesday or Thursday in the week.

Are you an NPR listener? I love the Will Shortz segment every Sunday.

And you’re far from the only person who loves the smell of books 🙂

I actually am really into “Words with friends.” I play it with a vengeance (and it is WAY easier than crossword puzzles!). At this point in my life, between kids, work, cleaning, writing, teaching, etc. I can’t take on anything more of a challenge without just adding more stress to my life – LOL. Your crossword puzzlers had me giggling hard though 🙂

I will admit to being a crossword puzzle cheater. If the answer is ANYWHERE NEAR ME, I will sneak a peek.

But only with the hard ones.

Like Kinase. Duh.

As for smells, I can tell you I do NOT like the scent coming from our guinea pig cage which – for some reason – has found its home in my MASTER BATH TUB.

Ironic, since he doesn’t bathe. At all. I’m thinking of ousting him. But the he squeaks at me and I feel all guilty, like.

I miss you by the way.

I used to do the crossword all the time…back before social media and when I had a longer attention span. I used to buy the NYT crossword puzzle books — Monday puzzles only, because they’re the easiest. I work the Statesman one whenever I can find a newspaper that seems left to die on someone’s driveway. Love your guesses up there. So me.

I LOVE the smell of books, and I’m jealous of your old book collection. I think that’s why I love Half Price Books so much. It SMELLS like books.

I remember my mom and grandma doing crosswords with those books too and completing them with ease! Me… well I don’t k now how to use the book either!

Libraries, book stores… love them. There is just something about books that I love! I could spend all day browsing books and flipping through them.
