I like the holidays but it’s different with teens that’s for sure! Some of the magic seems to have dimmed… it’s simply not the same as it was a few years ago.

This was our first year where the magic was just slightly dulled. My kids still “believe” because they want to, but realistically I think we are just all refusing to state the now obvious. That makes me very melancholy.

I always feel nearly hungover after the holidays, though not from alcohol. It’s just such a whirlwind and then nothing but cold, depressing weather. And my kids couldn’t wait to go back to school (yesterday). Nearly broke my heart!
