I'm probably half as neurotic. It drives me INSANE if I can't find something, like you mentioned, and I continue to search until it's found. I also thing things need to be put back in their proper home. So, legos need to be put in the lego container. The bucket we store play dishes needs to hold the play dishes. The whole time I was reading, I was nodding my head and wondering if you were actually describing me instead of you. 🙂

I’m also intrigued by Kristin’s mention of the Montessori idea of using one toy at a time. I love it – wonder what my toddler and baby would say…

Toys and their never-ending mess, is why I am so glad we have a spare room upstairs! I am also so happy we found a coffee table that has fabulous baskets that can be piled full of toys and hidden in it.

I am also thankful for the montessori way of working with one toy at a time and then putting it away. It works – sometimes…just don’t add any additional children to the mix, then the whole house is in ruin 🙂
