I don’t care how tough we are, there’s something about being alone with a sick kid that can reduce even the strongest woman to tears. I deal with everything much better when I have a partner in crime.

This is so true! My husband often has to travel a lot and I remember one day lugging my two kids (ages 2 and 5) on a 2 hr trek to a school field trip only to have one of them vomit all over the car and themselves once we got there. Having to make that trip back home knowing no one else would be there to help for the rest of the week w/ a sick kid and smelly car, pretty much reduced me to tears. It was no fun. BTW, found you through Gigi 🙂

I hope your friends are feeling better and you’re right exercise and kids don’t mix…that’s my excuse anyway!

In reply to Lizzie. I know! But it turns out I had my facts wrong - her tail bone was just severely bruised. Still, though. Ouch. My husband did break his butt once and was very uncomfortable for a couple months. I felt sad for him, but it was so fun to make jokes about his behind!

SO true! Both times we were selling our house and my husband was working 1400 miles away, I got a stomach virus! Like I need to have my house on the market, care for a baby (the second time i was pregnant) and have my husband not home when I puked my guts out!
