I call the girls Wiki and The Princess, but on my personal page I call them by their names and now half of that page is taken with blogging friends – so now they are just confused 😉

My maiden name is Teixeira, and I just saw an ad on TV for fight and one of the boxers is named Teixeira. It was pretty exciting!!! Once, I bought a NY Yankees jersey for Mark Teixeira, even though I don’t like the Yankees at all, just because I grew up never seeing my name anywhere. My middle child is named Sophia. She will have the opposite problem. You can yell ‘Sophia’ in a Target and fourteen girls will come running.

I don’t use my real kids names on my blog, but I just let one of them slip out, so I’m not super hard core about it.

]]> By: Nobody https://missystevenswrites.com/whats-in-a-name-a-tale-of-two-hs#comment-3168 Fri, 11 Jan 2013 00:01:31 +0000 http://www.wonderfriend.com/?p=4966#comment-3168 heh, obviously i don’t blog under my name, and definitely not my kids. it’s not really a “i don’t want anybody to know who i am” issue. the majority of my readers have met me in real life, most of them are on my facebook (i don’t have a blog facebook, so it’s my IRL profile) or they are family. i’ve even connected with a few bloggers on FB, although they probably don’t connect my name with my blog. i just don’t want to make it TOO easy to see every detail of my life. it gives me the illusion of security when i blog under any name other than my own, and that illusion is very important in my ability to speak my thoughts exactly as they are. 🙂 as for my real name, i’m not fond of it. only because there are about a million other girls with the same name as me in my generation.
