I like that idea – I need to be more proactive in letting them solve their own problems. It is so hard! But imperative, I think – we don’t want to raise indecisive, needy kids, right?!

It is so hard to stand back, when you want to jump in, but you can’t.
I tend to ask my questions so my children solve their problems.
For example, if a toy is grabbed and JBird is upset, I ask her – “What do you think is the best way to solve this problem?”
It works, and it doesn’t, because sometimes the answer isn’t “good”. 🙂
